Bowline is the definitive answer for your search of a version of 40 Knots! And with the shimmer and color options it makes it absolutely awesome to have! I picked the Mystic Current color option. It’s great. Awesome scent. Barrett nailed it
Bowline is a quality scent, roughly 85% accurate to 40 knots.
Bowline smells great. Unique scent that is almost a marine fougere style fragrance that I am really enjoying. It is very well blended.
I've never smelt 40 knotts before, but the fragrance itself is alot different then what I'm use to, but overall has luxury soap smell that's calming to me.
Wow wow wow… Barrett fragrances where have you been? This is beautiful, long lasting and worth way more that what you are charging (don’t you go changing that, lol). This fragrance is so luxurious, smells like lacquered wood on a yatch with sea water splashing while wearing an expensive body lotion that’s slightly powdery. I’m addicted to this scent and I love it, Great job Barrett fragrances. Got this as a free sample with my order. I must admit this is only 65% similar to 40 knots. It lacks the salty aspects and the violet leaf that smells like licorice in a way. That being said I like this better than 40 knots. It gives yacht vibes without the salty notes. It smells like aquatic lavender with woody undertones. This is amazing it radiates off my skin. If you don’t know what 40 knots smells like you will not be disappointed. Smells like an extremely refined freshie. I highly recommend it.
Let’s entangle with bowline. This work of art is inspired by 40 knots. This beauty here opens with with a fresh sea breeze. Literally transporting you to a boat on a beautiful crystal clear ocean catching whiffs of the clean refreshing air. You’ll also pick up on more watery notes somewhat like lily pads & a touch of salt. Drying down to a smooth woody finish to cap off this amazing freshie. Longevity is going about 8-9 hours on cooler weather. I’m sure it can pull more than that once it starts to get warmer & just matures over time. Solid 9/10 from me. Mr.Barrett has done it again. Just simply get a 10ml of this at the bare minimum. Super easy to wear & it a compliment getter. You won’t be disappointed.

I ordered this as ai tried the inspo from another house. This fragrance had an additional, note on top which made the open brighter. This adds a level of complexity to this fragrance that was missing. I truly have an idea of this scent DNA now.
Again I'll say well done and hat off to Ross and these well blended creations. This is a beautifully unique freshy, this is NOT your teenage Club De Nuit or your over hyped bubble gum fresh scent, this is way more refined, old money freshie but by no way is the scent DNA "out of date", modern, grown man freshie worth every penny
