Unfortunately the scent isn't very balanced, doesn't feel blended well. As someone whose tried the original MFK - Gold, this isn't very close. Opening is fine for a few mins then it's too sharp. My first low-rated Barrett unfortunately.
Store owner replied:
I'm sorry to hear the scent feels unbalanced and sharp compared to MFK - Gold. It sounds like you received a fresh batch, which can sometimes need time to mature. The sharpness you’re noticing might soften as the fragrance settles, allowing the notes to blend better over a few weeks. Try storing it in a cool, dark place and give it a gentle shake occasionally to help it develop. If it still feels off after a month or so, you could reach out to Barrett’s customer service—they’re usually helpful with feedback. Thanks for sharing, and hopefully, it’ll grow on you with time!
Beautiful Scent!
this fragrance is my very first from Barrett and i am loving this scent! its sophisticated and delicate freshness scent . such a wonderful job
Smell better than money. What’s better than money you ask… Gold! Presenting Lone drifter inspired by Gentle fluidity gold. Get a nice warm welcoming by a nutmeg note slowly getting warmer & slightly sweet as time goes by where we will start to pick up the vanilla & amber into the base. But wow this had a nice light powdery iris in here it’s quite enjoyable wish it would push more but this fragrance isn’t loud In your face. This one sits closer to the skin but gives you around 9 hours of longevity. Plenty to enjoy throughout the day. Definitely consider checking it out. Solid scent but it’s a 8.5/10 for me I do like it but it’s not something I say I’ll love but this will get great use.
Lone Drifter is warm, sweet, creamy, and so luxurious. The vanilla is smooth and beautifully blended with a soft, musky sweetness that gives it such an elegant, expensive smelling vibe. It's not overly sugary or heavy, but it has this gorgeous warmth that makes it so addictive. There's something about this fragrance that is just effortlessly sophisticated and feminine. It's cozy, sensual, and classy all at the same time. I absolutely love how the sweetness and musk complement each other without any overpowering florals.
