I've smelled Grey Vetiver several times at the store and I can say Silver Fox gets really close to the OG. I personally don't like comparing directly, so I'll speak for Silver Fox only. It's got this nice dry dusty earth base with a beautiful fougere fresh opening. It's a rather unique opening in my opinion. Overall, Silver Fox is very long lasting and has a soft nature, which means it won't overwhelm the senses, but maintain its presence throughout its lifetime.
Silver Fox is a terrific grown man’s fragrance. I enjoyed smelling it around me for hours and I felt that it added extra polish to my professional attire. It isn’t playful and it isn’t something I would choose for a teen. However, it is a must try for any man who is 30 or older who is looking for an appealing office fragrance. I am very pleased.
Professional and easy to wear. This one reminds of other great vitiver frags in my collection and thus this one is right up front in my collection from Barrett. Not a young mans fragrance but great for the office or when you feel like you got some important stuff to do around town.
Just wow! I’m literally at a lost for words with this one. First off let me say this for me to have recently gotten this it’s a monster straight out of the bottle. Secondly for me to say I’ve used 5ml of anything especially with the sheer force of my collection is saying a lot. But now in to the fragrance. This inspired but Grey vetiver from Tom ford & that’s one of my favorite houses. Can’t say I’m the biggest fan of the prices for all of them. So this one I never tried the OG of so i was going blind into this one. But disclaimer I did get a sample of this one ahead of release but it wasn’t 100% ready but I did get the vibes off it & having the full bottle it’s definitely night & day once Barrett let it rest a while longer before release. So the scent here open is lightly citrus but you definitely get the earthy & green notes pretty much out of the gate. This scent i would say if maybe an older/mature gentleman. It’s a masculine sophisticated scent. This scent is the embodiment of a gentleman & success. Barrett you nailed it with this one it’s probably one of my favorites that I didn’t come to think I would but like I said I love Tom fords stuff so no surprise I rank this inspired scent high as well. Highly recommend buying this one without hesitation.

Pretty darn close! I recently tried the OG of grey vetiver and shortly after saw Silver Fox as a new release. I thought it’d be a good introduction to the house. It was just that, I really enjoy this and looking forward to reaching for it especially this spr/sum.

This is straight fire. I can't tell the difference at all. It's incredibly close and even if it wasn't is an absolutely beautiful smelling fragrance. This is one that if you love the original you will love this, if you love any type of vetiver you will love this, if you love terre de hermes you will love this, if you love a masculine scent profile you will love this too. It's great.
No point in getting the real thing when they smell the same.
I don’t consider Grey Vetiver a five star fragrance so I cannot consider Silver Fox one. The reason is the opening of the OG is a bit unpleasant. Barrett did an excellent job of matching that opening so I have to stay consistent with my assessment. After the opening settles and the mid and dry down kick in, this becomes an enjoyable fragrance and I found myself seeking whiffs of it the rest of my wearing. It is a pleasant soapy vetiver that is ideal for warm weather. I will be spraying a lot of this before the Autumn weather arrives as I cannot envision wearing this in colder weather. It’s a perfect warm weather fragrance.
This is a beautiful fragrance! It actually lasts a little bit more than the OG. Would not hesitate to recommend it to vetiver lovers.
